Looking for a super yummy and sweet but low carb?? How about a super delicious cream cheese frosting you can use on almost anything especially something like a mug cake or waffles or another low carb treat!??
Well, let me tell you exactly how I make one of my favorite low-carb dessert add-ons.
**In the photos I share, I used a basic vanilla mug cake recipe and you can find tons of those on YouTube or buy one of the premade brands online and in-store.
Sometimes you just crave SUGAR and nothing can fix that sweet tooth like good old sugar/sugar cane! Unfortunately, if you have some weight loss or health goals you must reach then you can't afford to have too many slip-ups dipping into the cookie jar or the ice cream your kids begged for that's in the fridge( ok I'm talking about me, the struggle is real lol)… So we must have an alternative option that is not only going to keep you on track but fit your keto/low carb macros at the same time. What do you ask?----- Mug cakes w/ frosting! There are so many various recipes online to make these but my favorite flavors are vanilla, peanut butter, peanut butter-chocolate, and vanilla caramel.
Here are a couple of recipes on YouTube that I've actually tried and I really enjoyed them

Most of the time as a stay-at-home mom, I do not have time to even make all of my favorite flavors so I just stick with the basic vanilla mug cake or a pre-made store brand.
Here are a few low carb/keto-friendly mug cake brands I have actually tried that are pre-made on amazon that you also can find in some stores as well:
Although I'm not a huge fan of the ingredients in these it is ok for those dirty keto days or if you are just lazy and you should be fine but make sure you are tracking if it is affecting your goals then of course you will have to cut back from it and just make them from scratch.

I am also one of those people that must and I mean MUST have frosting on my cake or it's a no-go for me. Sometimes I'll make it thinner as a drizzle but most of the time I'll make a nice thick frosting because It just tastes better with a nice cold glass of milk... in my case ice-cold almond milk!

Thanks With Hearts,
Marita
